Give a soft smile and dance in the moonlight, under the stars and the sky upon the spinning world we call our own, laughing and pleading for someone to dance along with us, to prove that we aren't alone.

And even as the words pass your lips we both know that it's a lie, that it isn't going to happen and that we'll both end up getting hurt. Yet you still throw yourself out there in the hope that someone else will be there to catch you before you collide with the cold, hard ground.
I wonder if I cling too much sometimes, if I worry that if I don't hold on you'll just float away, off into the sky to watch over everyone, beautiful and unobtainable forevermore. So perhaps I should just hold on tight, hold you close, and keep you grounded with me. That way, at least, you'll stay mine.

"And sometimes all we want to do is run into the darkness and dance under the light of the stars, thoughts screaming to be heard, bodies aching to be seen, eyes begging to feel the universe spin."
