Give a soft smile and dance in the moonlight, under the stars and the sky upon the spinning world we call our own, laughing and pleading for someone to dance along with us, to prove that we aren't alone.
And even as the words pass your lips we both know that it's a lie, that it isn't going to happen and that we'll both end up getting hurt. Yet you still throw yourself out there in the hope that someone else will be there to catch you before you collide with the cold, hard ground.
I wonder if I cling too much sometimes, if I worry that if I don't hold on you'll just float away, off into the sky to watch over everyone, beautiful and unobtainable forevermore. So perhaps I should just hold on tight, hold you close, and keep you grounded with me. That way, at least, you'll stay mine.
We No Speak Americano by Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP is a catchy song and has a well done music video done in the style of old movies. A bit obscure, but nice to watch none the less.
"I do not have to look at the clock to know that it's midnight. I can feel the day rushing across the world, as fast as time.
But somewhere, there is a beach that time cannot reach. Where everyone and everything has always been and never was. And perhaps, you are there waiting for me.
"When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly."
"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvellous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity."
"It is possible to believe that all the past is but the beginning of a beginning, and that all that is and has been is but the twilight of the dawn. It is possible to believe that all the human mind has ever accomplished is but the dream before the awakening."
"And sometimes all we want to do is run into the darkness and dance under the light of the stars, thoughts screaming to be heard, bodies aching to be seen, eyes begging to feel the universe spin."
Validation is a short film that has never failed to cheer me up. It's such a lovely video, and I think it'd be really lovely if someone would actually do this.
Today my mum and I found an eight week old Great Dane puppy in the rain. She'd gotten out of the yard and was about to run into the street when we pulled over. I sat on the front porch of the house we found her in front of with her on my lap, big and black and shivering like mad. They weren't home, and she didn't have a collar, but it turns out that she did belong there. She stayed with the neighbours until they got home, or at least that was the plan when we left. But now I'm worried because no one who knows anything about dogs leaves an eight week old great dane puppy in the yard when they're not there in the pouring rain. And when they just got her too.
